Grading. What a task! Multiple choice questions makes grading so simple, but we know that we need to have more rigorous assessments. So, why not take some of the difficulty out of grading by using a grading rubric. A good rubric will guide students in completing assignments, guide graders in assessing student work, help to reduce the subjective nature of grading, and benefit all subject areas, including yours.
This workshop explores building grading rubrics, sourcing existing rubrics and utilising rubric-creation software. It will help you develop a system for grading projects, presentations and other authentic assignments. Take the first step in simplifying your grading through the use of this valuable tool. Register today!
*Participants will receive a certificate of participation on the completion of the workshop.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify online sources for pre-existing rubrics.
  2. Use online rubric-development technology to generate rubrics.
  3. Develop subject specific rubrics based on content, mastery-level and grading scheme.
