Proof of Process Framework

Join Prof. David Neumann as he introduces the Proof of Process Framework, a practical and flexible approach to testing and integrating emerging technologies into teaching and learning. Through real world examples such as micro multidisciplinary collaborations and student-led innovation projects, this session explores how educators can minimize risk, empower students, and foster innovation without waiting for perfect expertise or ideal conditions. Participants will see how small, intentional experiments can lead to long-term curriculum improvements, industry collaboration, and more engaged learners.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the Proof of Process Framework as a method for piloting new technologies in educational settings
  • Analyze how micro multidisciplinary collaborations support real-world skill development
  • Evaluate the benefits of student-led and co-led projects in driving curricular and institutional change
  • Apply the concept of stop-gap learning content to enable flexible and rapid tech integration
  • Develop strategies that build curiosity, confidence, and agency in student learning environments
  • Identify key opportunities and challenges in fostering scalable, sustainable innovation across programs and departments
